A keynote sets direction. Your programme needs verifiable conditions.
Redshift perspective · Revised 15 October 2026.
An announcement is not a project commitment
Event presentations are a starting point for monitoring. Before deciding, verify availability in product documentation, your environment, contractual terms and prerequisites.
Four filters before budgeting
Is the business need clear? Is the capability available for your scope? What data and permissions does it require? How will you measure its value? A missing answer calls for investigation, not a faster purchase.
A limited trial, an explicit decision
Choose one process, authorised data and a success criterion. Have the relevant users assess the outcome. Identify operating costs and constraints beyond the demo.
Keep the date and source
In your roadmap register, distinguish announced, documented, available and tested. Record the source, version and verification date. Your roadmap will become clearer. Your meetings may become shorter.
Three topics for your roadmap
Business AI, the EBS-to-Fusion path and analytics each deserve assessment. For AI, start with the process and controls. For migration, examine standard functionality, extensions, interfaces and data. For analytics, compare needs with existing reporting and investments.
An announcement is not a cutover instruction
Before replacing a setup, establish full cost, availability conditions, licensing, dependencies and a representative trial. A new platform does not automatically make existing reports obsolete. Your roadmap serves your programme, not a conference calendar.
